8 Tips To A Successful Blogging Lifestyle

Most bloggers want to create a successful blogging lifestyle, where they are able to enjoy their passion while making money at the same time. However, very few know how to go about it. Fortunately, there are ways you can achieve this goal if you are serious about it, and this article will discuss eight of them that you can use right away. Let’s get started!

Successful Blogging Lifestyle

1) Create Your Schedule

You’ll need to decide what time of day or night you want to start your blogging journey. Do you want to post right when people are starting their day? Try posting at 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. Do you want to create content while everyone is in work meetings and they can’t consume it?

2) Take Breaks

If you’re writing for an hour straight, your brain will naturally hit a wall at some point. Taking breaks can help to keep you from getting burned out. The key is knowing when to take a break. If you start feeling yourself hitting that wall, step away from your computer or phone and do something else. Go outside, eat a snack, take a nap—anything that keeps you fresh and prevents burnout.

3) Create an Editorial Calendar

It’s not enough to just have a website. If you want your site to be seen by thousands of people, you need to have a plan for it. It might seem like overkill for most bloggers, but creating an editorial calendar is key for anyone with goals in blogging—from those who earn modest amounts of money on sponsored posts to those who are making six figures from their blogs. An editorial calendar will keep you on track and ensure that you’re publishing on schedule.

4) Share Your Wins

What’s your best blogging tip? What advice do you have for those of us who want to start blogging but don’t know where to begin? Share a link to your personal website, social media account, or another digital property. I’d love to see what you’re working on!

5) Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

Comparing yourself to others is a slippery slope, and it can lead to negative self-talk and feelings of worthlessness. Just like with anything else you want in life, you need to be happy with your own progress. Instead of worrying about how other bloggers are doing things better than you, focus on how far you’ve come. Whether you’re just starting out or have been blogging for years, your journey has its own highs and lows—accept that and love where you are now.

6) Surround Yourself with Positive People

Surround yourself with positive people. Negativity breeds negativity, so if you want to stay motivated in your blogging journey and maintain a positive mindset, it’s important to spend time with people who have similar goals as you. They don’t even have to be bloggers—positive friends can keep you on track when things seem challenging.

7) Avoid Negative Influences

While I’m not a big believer in positive thinking, it does matter what you think about. When we constantly listen to people who tell us what we can’t do and put us down, those words will become our self-fulfilling prophecy. On the other hand, if we surround ourselves with positive influences, then those thoughts will become our reality as well. Surround yourself with others who love your vision and support you every step of the way; negativity is contagious!

8) Keep Learning About What Works for You

Observe what works for you and what doesn’t. Keep track of your habits and routines so that you can make adjustments as needed. Take one small step at a time, be consistent with your efforts, and don’t lose sight of your goals as you take each day in stride.
